Game 1 of 2 not so ugly

Well well well, the Lynx faced for the first time the St-Antoine Dragons.   This team is new to the league, so nobody knew anything about them.  They were rumoured to have drawn players from the region of last year's provincial champs Valleyfield.

First of all, the games started an hour late when St-Antoine met a massive amount of traffic on the Mercier Bridge.  Yet, they still seemed to very calm and collected as they finally showed up.  During the waiting period, the Lynx had time to take another infield outfield.   The game finally got underway at 2:00, and due to time constraints, both games were to be called over if one team was winning by more than 10 runs after 4 and a half innings.

Well, let's see.  The game ended up being 13-0 for the Lynx after 5 innings so it was called.  But let me state, that St-Antoine is not of the calibre to be in Big League.  They really shouldn't be in the league, honestly.

Nick Trainor did throw a no-hitter in the midst of all the run scoring.   He struck out a lot of batters, I don't know what the exact count was.

The team did a whole lot of hitting, and a whole lot of baserunning.

That's it for this game recap.  On to the second game.
