Home Opener cut short.
Well the Home Opener doubleheader was not so.
The first game was won by the Lynx by a score of 16-0. The first inning was marred by defensive errors by the Lynx, and a few walks. But no runs came out of it. In the bottom of the inning, the Lynx threatened by putting 3 runners on with 2 outs, but they couldn't score any runs. Then in the second inning, that's when the typical Lynx game came into play. They got through the top half of the inning, with Brossard threatening again, but in the bottom half, they punched across 4 runs. Then in the following innings, the kept on scoring in their typical fashion, and the game was called after 4 and a half innings, due to the fact that Brossard didn't have enough pitchers to play the rest of the game, or the second game, so they defaulted the second game, giving the Lynx the win by a score of 7-0.
The starting pitcher for the Lynx was Nick Trainor, who went 3 innings, but ended up being a little wild, and hence throwing a lot of pitches. He was followed by Brad Thomas who closed the door on Brossard.
The Lynx would like to thank all the fans who showed up, all the sponsors and booster club members, and for Shades of Culture for making an appearance, even though they couldn't perform, due to the fact that the city is so inept.
Seeing as how the second game was cancelled, the Lynx took a batting practice to hone their skills. No rest for the weak.
But that's enough for the game. The Offsides restaurant invited the team over to have free chicken wings/pizza and watch the wrestling PPV. The team wants to thank the Offsides for the great food and entertainment. Since the night was still young, some of the team went over to Adam Casey's house for some Playstation fun, while the parents went over to sing Karaoke. The details of the Karaoke singing cannot be divulged.
