What happened to Brossard?

The Lynx were without 4 players this day, they didn't have Nick Trainor, Ben Zoldan, Anthony DiMambro and Brock Bradley.  The rest of the team had to step it up.  And step it up they did.

They Lynx took the first game by a whopping score of 19-0.  It was a mercy rule shortened game so it went only 5 innings, but Adam Ferguson and Bobby Lewis combined to throw a beautiful no hitter.  It's the teams fourth no-hitter of the year.  The first 3 of course coming against the Dragons.

There was some good defense, but the real story of the game was the Lynx offense.  They scored 8 runs in the first inning to stake Ferguson with a sizeable lead.  Then in the second inning, the homeruns came.  The first Lynx to take it out of the park was Zan Symonds with a beautiful shot over the left field fence.  The next one to do it was Nick Schneider who satisfied with a bomb over the left center field fence.  Then Bradley Thomas got in on the action taking it out to center field.

Here's a good quote.  Zan Symonds, who was hitting behind Thomas, told Thomas that they were going to hit back to back homers.  Thomas said that he would do it.  Donald Cole was heard to say, "Do you guarantee that?"   To this Thomas replied, "I guarantee it".  First pitch, Thomas took it out.  Symonds, facing massive amounts of pressure, struck out.  Nothing like breaking a promise.

Fergy's 3 stars

3.  Bobby Lewis - Pitched very, very well for someone who claims his shoulder is injured.
2.  Adam Ferguson - who would have thought this guy was dead sick for the game with the way he pitched?
1. Lynx offense - Everyone was great all around.

go to game 2.
