Let's play 2!
Second Game:
As hard as this is to believe, this game was uglier than the first game. The Lynx won this one by a score of 33-0. This one was mercied after 5 innings thankfully.
Zan Symonds started the game, and was perfect through 2 innings. Then Brad Thomas came in the game, struck out 6 in 2 innings, and hit a batter, ruining the perfect game. Adam Ferguson closed off the game with 3 beautiful strikeouts, to complete the second no hitter of the afternoon. But they aren't real no hitters, because St-Antoine really didn't have the hitting to face up to the NDG pitchers.
The offense was much more lively this game, as you can see by the score. In the first inning, the Lynx sent 14 men to the plate, and about that many in the second. Of not, Bobby Lewis made 2 outs in the first inning, but didn't get a chance to make a third.
The game was higlighted by a Ben Zoldan 3 run homer, to keep left field. It was his second of the season, tying him with Nick Trainor for the team lead.
This highlight of the game, was when the Dragons pitcher almost hit 3 batters in a row. (It was a fairly boring game)
This game did bring about the realization 2 sub teams on the Lynx. There is the A-Team, and the B-Team. The A-Team is compirsed of Adam Casey, Adam Ferguson, Adam O'Brien Locke, and Alex Schneider. If Anthony DiMambro joins the Lynx, he will be assigned to the A-Team. The B-Team has on it Brad Thomas, Brock Bradley, Ben Zoldan, and Bobby Lewis. Lewis is being put under fire, for his poor performances lately though (ie, getting out twice in an inning). The A-Team tried to recruit Nick Trainor, but the B-Team put a stop to that, due to the fact that he doesn't have the requirements.
In completely unrelated news, Graeme Thomas hit his first homerun of his life on Sunday May 16th against Pierrefonds. There is speculation on whether or not the ball was fair or foul but it stands as a homer. His younger and better brother still has the inside the park homer on him. In Thomas' second at bat, he promptly struck out, which was obvious was going to happen.
