The better team is decided.

After playing St-Antoine, the Lynx had to turn up their game level a notch to face Sherbrooke.  This was the first time that the Lynx had faced them this season.

First impressions about Sherbrooke?  Cocky.  Showoffs.

But the Lynx were ready to show Sherbrooke who really dominates this league.

Nick Trainor took the hill for the Lynx and he pitched a hell of a game.   The Lynx jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second with a 2 out rally.  With runners on first and second, David Cote laced a double into the right field gap to score the two runs.  A few innings later, Sherbrooke scored a run on an error and some poor fielding by the Lynx.  Then, in the following inning, Sherbrooke took the lead 3-2, on a two run homer by the Sherbrooke shortstop.  Then in the top of the sixth inning, the Lynx loaded up the bases with two outs again.  Then Nick Trainor came up and was behind in the count 1-2, when the skied the ball over the left field fence for a grand slam.  Pandemonium on the Lynx bench ensued.  In the top of the seventh, the Lynx scored a seventh run for insurance, to put away Sherbrooke.

The Sherbrooke umps were the kings of botching calls.  They missed balks, missed easy calls, easily infuriating the NDG coaches and players a like.  But the Lynx fought through all the troubles and came out on top.

Fergy's 3 stars

3. Adam Ferguson - rocketed a shot off the fence in the last inning, and played well in the field
2. David Cote - for starting off the Lynx scoring
1.  Nick Trainor - Grand Slam, and pitched the full game.
