Sherbrooke brings out their Ace.

Sherbrooke brought out their ace of the staff, the man with the striped socks.  He had played third base against the Lynx before and they hadn't seen him pitch.  His is by far the best pitcher that the Lynx had faced and it showed.

The Lynx lost this one by a score of 7-0.  The Lynx only managed 3 hits during the game.  The Sherbooke ace has good stuff, but sadly he's their only pitcher that even has a remote chance of beating the Lynx, so come provincials time, it will be nice to see who they will throw, and when.

The starting pitcher for the Lynx was Bobby Lewis, because they wanted to see if he was ready for provincials, with his tender shoulder.  The answer, probably not.  He gave up 6 runs, in a only a few innings, and was releived by Brad Thomas, who put out the fire, by giving up only 1 run for the rest of the game.  The home plate umpire was not giving Lewis any calls at all, and he displayed his dismay very visibly, as is Lewis fashion.

Adam O'Brien Locke broke the Lynx drought by booming a double over the left fielders head in the top of the seventh.  That was followed up by David Cote's single to right field, but the Lynx were unable to score.

One of the few bright spots of the Lynx game was after Zan Symonds lined into a double play to first base.  First base coach Roger Harte was overheard saying, "Man, I thought that was GONE!".  It would have at best been down the line, but nowhere near a homerun.  Ah, Roger.

Fergy's 3 stars

3.  Brock Bradley - hit the ball very consitently, even against that "ace"
2.  Brad Thomas - for putting out the fire.
1.  Adam O'Brien Locke - had the nicest hit of all the Lynx.

On to the second game.
